This one-day retreat will introduce meditation through a simple but complete meditation practice that we can then practise at home, and bring into our daily lives. We will explore the Buddhist understanding of the universal wish to be happy, and how we can examine and come to understand the true sources of happiness, bringing us to a deeper understanding of our own mind and heart.

Maureen Cooper met Sogyal Rinpoche in London in 1977. Building on her professional training as a teacher she was soon involved in organizing programmes for Rigpa students, and joined Rigpa’s international team full-time in 1993, working intensively on the coordination of Rinpoche’s vision worldwide for the next 10 years. She is now a member of a small team of experienced students whom Rinpoche has empowered to travel and teach.
